Triple-Action Hydration

What's Involved
What is a Lawn Water Conserver? A lawn water conserver is a specialized granular wetting agent applied to turf to optimize soil hydration. It works by breaking surface tension to eliminate dry patches, retaining moisture deeply within the soil profile, and preventing water run-off, ensuring grass roots have consistent access to water during drought conditions.
Availability of water to your lawn is critical for all our processes to work well and get maximum benefit from our programme. As such, we now include water conserver in our standard lawn care programme.
A one-off application of this granular product — usually in late spring or early summer — works in three different ways to keep your lawn hydrated over the summer:
1. It reduces the surface tension of the water so it infiltrates the soil better.
2. It relieves dry patches that can form in the thatch layer.
3. It holds on to moisture in the soil profile away from the surface, so it's available to the plant but prevents excess loss through run-off and evaporation.
One application lasts approximately 3 months. For properties on sandy or stoney soils common around coastal areas, a water conserver treatment can be transformative, reducing dry patch formation and improving nutrient uptake significantly.
